Since 1984, DaimlerChrysler has unveiled
more minivan safety firsts than any other manufacturer.
In some cases, things that seemed like "the right thing to
do" have become industry standards. The all-new Voyager continues
this tradition by keeping safety a top priority.
Voyager's
safety features begin with an all-new body structure
that is significantly upgraded to meet European off-set impact requirements
and improve the energy-absorbing character of the vehicle (thereby
potentially enhancing real world safety performance).
Voyager's completely redesigned steering column absorbs and manages
energy from impact. The energy-absorbing front
door armrests are tuned to "give" in a side impact collision.
Molded, impact-absorbing polyurethane foam
is bonded to the headliner and roof side rails for additional interior
head impact protection.
